Fiction: Potter Valley's only interest in the Eel River is as a source of water to suck dry.

The residents of Potter Valley enjoy access to the Eel River year round. We see it in high flows and low, and we visit it regularly to hike, fish, camp, kayak, and swim. It is our neighbor and our nearest local wilderness. Indeed, residents of this section of the Eel River are part of the Potter Valley community and attend Potter Valley schools. The Potter Valley 4H club organizes an annual Eel River cleanup every fall, hauling away literally tons of garbage and other human debris in the watershed. We care about the Eel River and its fishery as a source of wilderness and scenic beauty that is unique to California's north coast. We're committed to protecting the salmonids and to preserving the Eel River for the North Coast area.
